Yes, it is that dreamy time of year. We are going to Ashland for the week. Or as the kids call it, Ash-Land, as in “the land of ash”. They can’t seem to say it any other way.
More than anything, I love watching plays. Wait. Is that true? I do love plays. But I love to sing too. Plus I love to roller-blade even though it is not cool. And I love to dance to salsa music. And I love petting goats, and doing clay, and taking naps, and, and…
But I do love a play. I think the worst play is better than the best movie any day. And that is especially true for Ash Land. We’re seeing “Don Quixote”, “A Servant of Two Masters”, and “Macbeth”. Only one Shakespeare, but that is okay. Brad doesn’t have a ton of patience for the Shakespeare. We are off for 4 days down south, staying with my mom and dad in a little house and being tourists. Maybe I will bring back some ash as a souvenir.

Oh, tell the lovely town of Ashland hello from me and give it a big hug! Oh, and please have some scones at the Black Sheep. Just for me. Oh, maybe I’ll make scones and clotted cream today. I will try not to be jealous. Take pictures. And don’t let your battery die! And now I’m being bossy and writing bad sentences.
Have fun!

Have a great time! Do you know that I’ve never been to Ashland in my life? Isn’t that kind of crazy for someone who lived in Oregon her entire childhood life? I’ve never been to Crater Lake, either. Maybe one of these summers Jason and I will take a vacation to our own state and do touristy things.

Enjoy your time in Ashland — the magical place! Allie’s scheming on how to take in two more plays this summer in Ashland with Boris during their road trip back from Santa Fe, NM in mid-August. The will be movion Boris back to school and are excited about stops at the Grand Canyon, Placerville and especially Ashland, which is, by the way, right in there with the Grand Canyon for her!
This comment string is causing bad scentences for me too…
